Denmark to Expand F-35A Fleet with 16 Additional Aircraft!

Denmark has announced that it has completed the procurement process for 16 additional Lockheed Martin F-35A fighter aircraft…

With this contract, the Danish Air Force’s F-35A fleet will grow to 43 aircraft by 2030.

Of the additional F-35A fighter aircraft, 8 will be delivered under Lot 20, 6 under Lot 21, and the remaining 2 under Lot 22.

Denmark is procuring AGM-158B/B-2 JASSM-ER long-range cruise missiles for use with its F-35A fleet, providing a long-range precision-strike capability against high-value targets.

The F-35A Lightning II fighter aircraft can conduct both air-to-air and air-to-ground missions thanks to its low radar observability, advanced sensor fusion and network-centric warfare capabilities.

The F-35A can employ AIM-120 AMRAAM and AIM-9X Sidewinder air-to-air missiles, as well as precision-guided air-to-ground munitions…
