Denmark has requested three MH-60R multi-mission helicopters, along with eight embedded GPS/Precise Positioning Service (PPS)/inertial navigation systems, six of which will be installed on the helicopters and two provided as spares, three digital magnetic anomaly detection systems, and associated equipment.
The proposed sale also includes T700-GE-401D engines, M514, MJ20 and WB53 cartridge-actuated devices, CCU-136A/A impulse cartridges, AN/ARC-210 RT-2036 radios, AN/AAR-47 missile warning systems, AN/APX-128 identification friend-or-foe (IFF) transponders, AN/ALE-47 countermeasure systems, advanced data transfer systems, AN/AAS-44C(V) multispectral targeting systems, KIV-79 Mode 4/5 cryptographic IFF systems, joint mission planning systems, AN/ALQ-210 electronic support measures (ESM) systems and APS-153(V) multi-mode radars.
The prime contractors are Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky, and there are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with the sale.
The MH-60R Seahawk is a multi-mission naval helicopter powered by two T700-GE-401C/401D engines and is primarily designed to conduct anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and anti-surface warfare (ASuW) missions.
The helicopter is equipped with a multi-mode radar, electro-optical/infrared sensors, electronic support measures (ESM), dipping sonar and sonobuoys, providing an integrated mission system for the detection, tracking and engagement of submarine and surface targets.
