The agreement was signed with France’s Ministry of the Armed Forces and its Defence Procurement Agency, DGA (Direction Générale de l’Armement).
Under the agreement, Ireland will procure 5 long-range radar systems developed by Thales.
The first radar systems are expected to be delivered in 2027, with the entire radar network planned to become fully operational by the end of 2028.
