The 55-meter-long unmanned surface vessel will be acquired under the Navy’s new Medium Unmanned Surface Vessel (MUSV) program.

Deliveries of the Marauder autonomous unmanned vessels to the U.S. Navy are planned to begin in 2027.

Capable of carrying up to 150 tons of cargo, the Marauder can transport either four 40-foot or eight 20-foot containers.

It can cruise at 12 knots and reach a maximum speed of more than 25 knots, with a range of 10,000 kilometers (5,400 nautical miles) in a light-load configuration and 7,600 kilometers (4,100 nautical miles) when fully loaded.
