Greece plans to upgrade all its FDI-class frigates to the Standard 2+++ configuration.
The programme aims to upgrade the SETIS combat management system, PASEO XLR electro-optical system and SENTINEL electronic support system, integrate the S-100 Camcopter UAV, and introduce new ammunition capabilities.
Under the Standard 2+++ configuration, the frigates are expected to gain long-range strike capabilities through the integration of SCALP Naval or ELSA cruise missiles using Sylver A70 vertical launchers.
