The system is capable of firing 6 to 12 rounds per minute and offers high precision thanks to its GPS-supported Fire Control System.
BORAN is equipped with an integrated muzzle velocity radar that measures muzzle velocity instantaneously, an electro-optical laser rangefinder, and a ballistic fire control computer; these subsystems were developed by ASELSAN.
The system is designed to operate in a joint operations environment by being integrated into a network-supported command-and-control architecture.
