Under the current planning, the Turkish Air Force will add the first two C-130J transport aircraft to its inventory by the end of 2026.

Türkiye is procuring 12 C-130J-30 Super Hercules transport aircraft that were retired from the Royal Air Force inventory.

All platforms to be acquired under this procurement consist of the extended-fuselage C-130J-30 configuration, which offers greater transport capacity compared to standard C-130J platforms.

The C-130J is equipped with four Rolls-Royce AE 2100D3 turboprop engines and features advanced capabilities such as digital flight control systems, a glass cockpit, and increased fuel efficiency.

With a maximum takeoff weight of 70 tons and an empty weight of 34 tons, the C-130J-30 is capable of cruising at 645 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 22,000 feet…
