Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ/TAI) has announced its production targets for 2035, covering programs for the Turkish Air Force and the Turkish Armed Forces…
Under these targets, TUSAŞ aims to produce 150+ KAAN fighter aircraft, 200+ HÜRJET jet trainers, 150+ HÜRKUŞ trainers, 200+ GÖKBEY helicopters, 150+ T925 helicopters, 100+ ATAK attack helicopters, and 10,000+ tactical UAVs.
For unmanned aerial vehicles, the targets include more than 250 ANKA-3, 150 AKSUNGUR, and 150 ANKA UAVs, in addition to more than 10,000 tactical UAVs.
The announced targets amount to more than 1,500 platforms across the aircraft, helicopter, and UAV categories, aligning with TUSAŞ’s previously stated goal of delivering 1,500 platforms over a 10-year period.
Initial deliveries of the KAAN fifth-generation fighter aircraft to the Turkish Air Force are planned to begin in late 2028, with deliveries to be made in successive blocks.
The first HÜRJET jet trainers are targeted for delivery to the Turkish Air Force in late 2027, as the program progresses toward operational service.
Deliveries of GÖKBEY helicopters are ongoing, while production continues to support the program’s planned deliveries.
More than 200 ANKA and AKSUNGUR UAVs have been produced to date under the two programs.
Production of ATAK attack helicopters is approaching 100 units, while more than 30 T70 utility helicopters have been produced.
TUSAŞ plans to retain final assembly operations while transferring more component manufacturing and assembly work to subcontractors, with the aim of carrying out 30% of manufacturing in-house and outsourcing the remaining 70%.
TUSAŞ also aims to increase subcontracting in detailed parts manufacturing from nearly 60% to 70–80% and in component manufacturing from approximately 40% to 70%.
