The program involves the construction of six MRCVs, which will replace the Singapore Navy’s current Victory-class missile corvettes.
Each platform will serve as a mothership for aerial, surface, and underwater unmanned systems, while also functioning as a command-and-control hub to counter various threats in the operational theater.
Measuring 150 meters in length and 21 meters in beam, the Victory-class MRCV will be equipped with a range of sensors for situational awareness missions.
The vessel will be armed with anti-ship, air-defense, and anti-submarine missiles. Its secondary armament will include the Rafael Typhoon 30 mm remote-controlled weapon system and an Oto Melara Strales 76 mm guided naval gun system.
Featuring an all-electric integrated propulsion system, the Victory-class MRCV will achieve speeds exceeding 20 knots and have a range of 7,000 nautical miles.
The vessel’s primary sensor will be the Thales-developed Sea Fire multifunction radar.
