The Carl-Gustaf M4 will replace the M3 systems operated by the New Zealand Army, which are approaching the end of their service lives.
The Carl-Gustaf M4 is an 84 mm-caliber system weighing approximately 7 kg. Its length of less than 1 meter provides troops with high mobility on the battlefield.
The system can be equipped with open sights, red-dot sights, telescopic sights, and advanced fire-control devices.
The system can fire anti-tank ammunition against armored vehicles, multipurpose ammunition against fortifications and structures, high-explosive ammunition, as well as smoke and illumination rounds.
