Polish Air Force Receives Five F-35A “Husarz” Fighter Aircraft!

With the arrival of the aircraft bearing tail numbers 3512, 3513, 3514, 3515 and 3516, the Polish Air Force’s fleet of F-35A fifth-generation fighter aircraft has reached eight.

Poland ordered 32 F-35A aircraft under a contract worth approximately $4.6 billion signed in 2020.

The Polish Air Force aims to complete its 32-aircraft fleet by 2030, with an additional 12 aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2027.

The F-35A combines low-observable (stealth) characteristics, advanced sensors, sensor fusion and high situational awareness capabilities.

The F-35A is powered by a Pratt & Whitney F135-PW-100 turbofan engine producing 43,000 pounds (approximately 191 kN) of thrust.

With a maximum takeoff weight of approximately 70,000 pounds (31.8 tonnes), the F-35 can reach a maximum speed of Mach 1.6 and carry up to 8,160 kilograms of payload.

The F-35A’s sensor suite includes advanced systems such as the AN/APG-81 AESA radar, AN/ASQ-239 electronic warfare system, AN/AAQ-37 DAS and AN/AAQ-40 EOTS, combining data collected by these sensors through sensor fusion into a single tactical picture…
