Argentina has requested the purchase of 4 UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters and 2 T700-GE-701D engines.
The procurement additionally includes navigation and identification friend-or-foe (IFF) systems, HF/VHF and multi-band radios, GPS, an emergency locator system, auxiliary fuel tanks, and various mission and support equipment.
The principal contractor is Sikorsky, and no known offset agreement has been proposed in connection with this sale.
The UH-60L Black Hawk has a maximum speed of approximately 280 km/h and a combat radius of approximately 590 km.
Its range can be extended with external auxiliary fuel tanks, and it is capable of carrying an external load of approximately 2,200 kg.
Thanks to its advanced avionics and navigation systems, the UH-60L Black Hawk is configured to operate day and night, in varying weather conditions, and in high-tempo operational environments…
