The Israeli Air Force Has Received Its Second Boeing KC-46A Gideon Tanker Aircraft…

Israel ordered four KC-46A Pegasus aircraft under the U.S. Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program and ordered two additional aircraft in 2025.

The KC-46A tanker aircraft will replace the Boeing KC-707 tankers currently operated by the Israeli Air Force.

The KC-46A can carry approximately 96,000 kg of fuel and transfer around 94,000 kg to other aircraft, depending on mission parameters and reserve requirements.

The KC-46A is equipped with a fly-by-wire refueling boom and wing-mounted probe-and-drogue refueling pods.

Israeli-specific modifications will be incorporated before or after delivery, including encrypted communications systems and integration with national command-and-control networks.

The KC-46 Gideon will be configured to provide aerial refueling support for F-35I, F-15I, F-15IA, and F-16 fighter aircraft…
