Under the agreement, seven A330 MRTT aircraft will be procured, with three aircraft to be produced for Spain and four for Poland.
The procurement will be carried out through the SAFE mechanism, and Poland will receive its four A330 MRTT aircraft by 2030 following the signing of the contract.
The A330 MRTT is a multi-role tanker and strategic transport aircraft with a fuel capacity of 111 tons, offering a range of up to 16,000 kilometers and an endurance of up to 18 hours.
The aircraft can conduct aerial refueling using both boom and hose-and-drogue systems, transferring fuel at a rate of 3,600 kg per minute through the boom and 1,300 kg per minute through underwing pods.
