Rheinmetall has secured a contract to manufacture weapon systems for the British Army’s RCH 155 wheeled howitzers…
The contract covers the production of 72 155 mm L/52 remote-controlled weapon systems, along with associated support services.
Deliveries of the weapon systems are scheduled to take place between 2028 and 2031.
The RCH 155 combines the high mobility of the GTK Boxer armored vehicle with an advanced, fully automated version of the weapon system used in the PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzer.
The platform features an unmanned, fully automated turret equipped with a 155 mm L/52 remote-controlled gun system.
The 155 mm/L52 gun system is capable of firing more than eight rounds per minute and supports Multiple Round Simultaneous Impact (MRSI) missions…
