South Korea to Equip F-15K Slam Eagle Fleet with EPAWSS!

Under a contract signed with Boeing, BAE Systems has announced it will supply Electronic Warfare systems for the F-15K Slam Eagle fighter jets in the inventory of the Republic of Korea Air Force

Under the contract, BAE Systems will supply the AN/ALQ-250 Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) electronic warfare systems.

The system in question will provide pilots with advanced situational awareness and comprehensive self-defense capabilities in contested operational environments.

EPAWSS is an all-digital electronic warfare system developed to support 360-degree threat detection, threat identification, and the effective execution of electronic countermeasures.

The system significantly enhances the ability of F-15K platforms to perform missions in high-threat operational theaters dominated by a dense electromagnetic spectrum.

The F-15K modernization is being conducted under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program facilitated by the South Korean Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA).
