The A330 MRTT, with tail number T-063, expands the availability of strategic air-to-air refueling, airlift, and aeromedical evacuation capacity for the Multinational MRTT Fleet (MMF).
The MMF fleet operates under a model based on the multinational sharing of costs, operations, and utilization.
In addition to refueling fighter aircraft in flight, the A330 MRTT can transport personnel, cargo, and equipment, and can be configured for evacuation missions.
The Airbus A330 MRTT is a strategic tanker aircraft with a fuel capacity of 111 tons, capable of transferring up to 70 tons of fuel to receiver aircraft during a single mission.
The A330 MRTT can transfer fuel at a rate of 3,600 kg per minute via its boom system, and 1,300 kg per minute via its underwing hose-and-drogue systems.
