The BARBAROS coastal defense system to be supplied to Azerbaijan will be deployed to protect coastal regions and strengthen defensive capabilities against threats from the sea.
Developed for coastal defense missions, BARBAROS is a land-based missile system capable of engaging maritime targets with high precision.
Its main weapons are the ATMACA, which has a range of over 250 kilometers, an active RF seeker, a 220-kilogram warhead, and a KTJ-3700 turbojet engine, and the ÇAKIR, which has a range of over 150 kilometers and weighs 275 kilograms.
Offering 3D mission planning, target updates via data link, re-attack, and mission abort capabilities, the ATMACA can operate in varying weather conditions thanks to its low radar signature and high strike accuracy.
At 5 meters in length and under 750 kilograms in weight, the ATMACA is equipped with an active RF seeker and a 220-kilogram warhead.
Developed by Roketsan, the ÇAKIR can be employed against surface targets as well as hardened land targets, and its light weight allows a greater number of missiles to be carried on different platforms…
