The system is the third Lanza 3D radar ordered by the Royal Thai Air Force and will expand the country’s air surveillance and control network.
Operating in the L-band, the Lanza 3D to be delivered to Thailand uses a frequency range of 1-2 GHz.
Designed to perform in harsh atmospheric conditions and high-humidity environments, the radar can detect a variety of targets, including UAVs, aircraft, projectiles, and missiles.
It provides 360° azimuth coverage and 20° elevation coverage, with a scan rate of one rotation every 10 to 12 seconds.
