The HAVA SOJ Program, jointly conducted by TUSAŞ and ASELSAN, was launched to develop dedicated electronic warfare mission aircraft required by the Turkish Armed Forces.
Under the program, a total of four HAVA SOJ aircraft are planned to be developed and delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces.
The HAVA SOJ aircraft are designed to conduct electronic warfare, reconnaissance, and suppression of enemy air defense missions. All electronic warfare mission systems to be integrated into the HAVA SOJ systems will be developed and produced domestically.
The mission systems installed on the HAVA SOJ aircraft will perform detection, identification, classification, direction finding, and geolocation of communications and radar emissions from conventional and next-generation complex land-, air-, and sea-based systems.
The HAVA SOJ systems will conduct their missions in coordination with a ground-based Planning and Training Center.
By suppressing enemy air defense radars and communication systems, the HAVA SOJ systems will enable friendly combat aircraft to conduct strike missions more safely.
