The latest order brings the German Army’s total number of Boxer RCT30s to 185 vehicles.
The new vehicles will be manufactured by the KNDS Deutschland and Rheinmetall joint venture, supplementing the 150 units previously ordered.
The procurement is being managed through OCCAR as part of a joint armament program between Germany and the Netherlands.
The German Boxer RCT30 combines the Boxer 8×8 chassis with the 30mm unmanned RCT30 turret, the same turret system used on the Puma infantry fighting vehicle.
